Mediacom offers internet, TV, and home phone services across 22 states, boasting competitive download speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps. While its internet performance is commendable, Mediacom's TV service is limited, providing a maximum of 170+ channels. To access Mediacom TV, bundling with internet or phone service is mandatory, despite the relatively low channel count. Unfortunately, the bundled prices are higher than expected given the channel offerings. However, Mediacom's standalone Xtream internet plans are reasonably priced, offering an alternative for those seeking internet services. Alternatively, customers can consider opting for DISH satellite TV service separately, which provides a broader channel selection of 290+.
At present, Mediacom provides additional incentives to enhance your experience, including:

Mediacom offers four primary internet plans for current customers at prices ranging from $24.99 to $54.99 per month (for the initial 12 months). The Internet 100 plan is suitable for individuals, couples, and smaller families engaged in HD streaming and gaming. For avid 4K streamers and gamers, the 1 Gig plan is recommended. If your internet usage falls between these extremes, opt for the plan that best aligns with your specific needs.
Mediacom ranked 10th out of 14 in our internet customer satisfaction survey, scoring only 43% satisfaction. While the highest satisfaction was 69% (courtesy of Verizon Fios), Mediacom's rating remains relatively low. However, with rapid download speeds and attractive initial pricing, Mediacom offers its own advantages. Trying out Mediacom Xtream internet for a year could be worthwhile to assess if its affordable internet service aligns with your requirements.

When bundling Mediacom Internet and TV, you can select from three-channel tiers:
It's notable that Mediacom requires an internet plan for TV service, a practice we find inconvenient. Additionally, the three add-on channel packs priced at $7.95 monthly each, covering channels like ESPNews, Cooking Channel, and MTV2, are not favorable compared to offerings by other TV providers. The Variety TV package is recommended for its comprehensive selection of basic cable channels, although lower-tier packages are budget-friendly, with Local TV having a limited channel lineup and Essential TV missing popular channels like ESPN and Disney XD.
Mediacom's Xtream Wi-Fi 360, priced at $5 per month, boosts wireless signals and is free for three months for new customers. It includes a Gateway modem/router and two Wi-Fi access points, with the option to add extra extenders for larger homes at $2.99 each per month. Manage settings through the Mediacom Home Network Manager, and using your own compatible modem and router is a cost-saving alternative.
